Vad menas med 'customs' här? Och ordet 'though'?
(in the The USA)
Though ska nog vara thorough.
Talesätten "appearences can deceive" och "keep up appearances" finns, so ordet har en pluralform.
Förlåt jag missade detta. Pyjamas ska faktiskt vara pluralis, men man hör ofta singularis i uttryck som 'where's my...' 'It's my...' Fast det blir 'my pyjamas are blue' t.ex.
Om customs betyder tullen ska det vara singularis. Alltså, the customs (check) was very thorough. Men man hör också 'were' i detta sammanhang. Det kan också bero på skillnaden mellan amerikansk och brittisk engelska.
