Hej, jag går i ettan på gymnasiet och jag har skrivit en liten text som är grunden till min powerpoint presentation i ett grupparbete. Jag undrar bara om någon skulle kunna läsa min text och rätta grammatiska fel. Ni ska absolut inte göra jobbet åt mig men skulle vara snällt om ni kanske kunde markera de ställen jag behöver göra om. Food at St Patrick’s day
Of course we will not forget the food! At St Patrick’s day is the theme green and certainly is also the food green. Some common dishes are Corned Beef and Cabbage, Irish Stew, Green Beer, Irish Soda Bread, Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes and Boozy Shamrock Shake.
Corned Beef and Cabbage consists of corned beef cooked together with cabbage and potatoes. Back in time was beef, cabbage and potatoes easy to find in Ireland and that’s why they eat it today.
Irish Stew is also a traditional Irish dish. There is no specific recipe but usual ingredients in the stew are lamb, potatoes, carrots, onion and parsley.
Further is the green beer very popular at St Patrick’s day. How to do green beer is just to buy plain beer and drip in a few drops of food coloring.
The Irish soda bread eats everyone at St Patrick’s day and each family in Ireland has its own recipe for the Irish bread.
Other dishes are scalloped potatoes and the shamrock shake. Scalloped potatoes is a type of potato gratin and the shamrock shake is a green milkshake dessert. The shamrock shake can you of course do at your own but it is also sold at some McDonald's restaurants during March to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.
The Dessert
More desserts at St Patrick’s day can be whatever you want. The most important is that the food is green. You can do any light-colored dessert, for example: light-colored cookies, vanilla cupcakes or cheesecake. Then you can make the dessert green with a few drops of food coloring. Other real green desserts are key lime pie, lime Jell-O, mint chocolate ice cream cake or cream mint brownies.
