Ett brev till min lärare
Hej!
Kan någon rätta mitt brev, snälla? Är det en bra text?
Jag läser Eng 6. Det är ett brev till min lärare där ska jag skriva på ett helt formellt språk,
Dear teacher,
My name is Mohammad Kassem, 20 years old. I live in Uddevalla. I am from Syria and I have been in Sweden for two years ago. I graduated from high school in Syria and I got a complete certificate. Here in Sweden I am studying some subjects at adult education to be eligible for university including English 5-6. My goal is to become a civil engineer. I speak Arabic with excellent formal language, which is my mother tongue. I can Swedish with good knowledge in speech and writing. The third language I speak and still learning is the international language namely, English. I have passed the English 5 last term. Studying distans, it is effectively and flexible way to me to study by myself, especially when it comes to summer vacation.
If you do not use the language that you have learnt, be ready to lose it. When I started learning English, I had any interest in this foreign language. Firstly it was not surrounded by me. Unfortunatley I did not use it, did not hear it and did not write essays in English. The second reason is that we focused most in grammar and reading part from beginning. I was forced to flee from my precious country which is painful for all people who depart to other places. However, that gave me something in return. An entire new life had commenced and new doors had opened. Self- improvement had started when I traveled from Syria to Sweden. I have been to many different countries. Consequently I can now communicate and discuss in English smoothly. I use English very well; express myself, highlighting on living conditions, reading literature. While I learnt English, I gained familiarity about different customs and traditions in other countries. In addition to, I have been known considerable information regarding many cultures. Learning English language has opened new thoughts for me, new idès and new abilities. I have learnt that learning the language is not only to be understood, but I may work much harder to reach the advanced level; the academic level. Nevertheless, be able to write powerfully in formal English and in specialized domains. Varying vocabulary, terminology and Language for Special Purposes are the most difficult part on English.
In conclusion, there are difficulites to learn new language and it is hard to master it. The endeavour should comprise at least one composent, practicing. I am absulotly working hard on it.
Your sencerely,
Mohammad Kassem
Hej Mohammad,
